Digital health tools and their contribution to more human-centered care

There is no precedent in terms of the speed at which digital health is advancing, which requires constant interdisciplinary interaction, in addition to objective and clear communication between those involved. Given this technological evolution, the question that emerges is: How can digital health tools contribute to the humanization of care? Objective: To present examples of existing technologies in the healthcare market, their functionalities and possibilities for contributing to the practice of humanizing care. Methods: The research used a literature review as a strategy, using the keywords: digital health, humanization, improve healthcare and health platforms. Results: Four models of digital tools were presented that contribute to communication, shared responsibility, access and patient autonomy. Conclusion: From this presentation, it is concluded that aspects related to the improvement of communication provided by technology, leads to a greater level of empathy and, consequently, to greater awareness and autonomy of patients, providing a greater degree of engagement and adherence to treatment.
