Abstract

Objective: This study investigates mobile applications to support maternal and child health care through systematic mapping. Method: The search was carried out in the Google Play and App Store application stores, including applications developed between the years 2010-2023. Results: The mapping resulted in 1,082 selected applications, which involve prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn and baby care. The applications provide guidance, data filling, and simulated games for parents and healthcare professionals. Conclusion: It is estimated that the union of different maternal and child themes in the development of applications can contribute to health promotion. Furthermore, other requirements can enrich users' adherence, such as multiple languages, availability in different online stores and the possibility of linking the healthcare professional to the parents and baby, generating a health history.
