Objective: To report the development of a technological solution for the planning and dimensioning of the health workforce (PDHW). Method: This research on technological development and innovation was conducted following the Design Science Research method, in three phases: (1) problem identification with stakeholders; (2) survey of technical and scientific literature on methodologies used; (3) technological solution design, including a framework of methodologies for PDHW. Results: The solution, named "SisDim: System for Workforce Sizing in Brazilian Healthcare," provides a catalog of methodologies that managers, researchers, and healthcare professionals can use as support for organizational diagnosis, projections, and human resource management in healthcare. Conclusions: The presented solution has the potential to contribute to the improvement of PDHW, taking into account the specificities of healthcare territories.
