Development of an app to monitoring oral cancer risk

Objective: To report the experience of the process for identifying and validating the necessary requirements and functionalities for mobile application development as a tool for screening and monitoring population at risk of oral cancer. Method: Descriptive study of experience report type, structured in three phases: Business domain identification (scope); Requirements elicitation and prototype modeling for mobile application development for multiplatform; and Requirements and prototypes validation. Results: The delimited scope resulted in several modeled artifacts (flows, diagrams, and prototypes that capture the business rules) for mobile application “SobreVidas - Cancer de Boca”. Conclusion: The modeled requirements and prototypes will contribute to the development of a mobile application for use in the Unified Health System in Brazil, which will support primary health care in the early detection of oral cancer, allowing a connection with secondary care, with management and with the patient. Sharing this multi-professional experience allows other teams to use and produce continuous improvements for the evolution of the system.
