Abstract

Background: MyStrengths MyHealth system was developed in the United States of America, implemented as a simplified version of the Omaha System. It is used for whole-person health assessment, providing a comprehensive evaluation of patients' health status, including biopsychosocial and spiritual elements - the social determinants of health. Objective: to translate, adapt, and assess barriers to the use of the MyStrength MyHealth system in Brazil. Methods: literature review; independent translations and back translations, synthesis of translations, evaluation by expert judges, pre-testing with nursing academics, and application of the Technology Adoption Model (TAM) with outpatient patients. Results: The state-of-the-art utilization of the Omaha System worldwide is extensive across various health scenarios, which has driven its translation, adaptation, and availability for use in Brazil in clinical consultations and research. However, there is a need for investments in digital health literacy for both users and healthcare professionals. Conclusion: The Omaha System is available for use in Brazil in clinical consultations and research. However, there is a need for investments in digital health literacy for users and healthcare professionals.
