Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the usability among doctors of a mobile application (app), Endometriosis Intelligent Application (ENIA), created to facilitate the clinical diagnosis of endometriosis. Methods: The study included 15 specialist medical doctors and 21 residents in Gynecology and Obstetrics of a maternity hospital located in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, in the period from July to November 2020, counting as evaluation instrument the mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ). Results: About the overall credibility, the scale showed good internal consistency determined by a Cronbach's alpha of 0.871. About ease of use and satisfaction, organization of information in the system and usefulness, the alpha values were 0.80, 0.65 and 0.87, respectively.  Maximum agreement above 70% was found for most questions on the usefulness subscale. Conclusion: Perceived satisfaction and usefulness among physicians in using ENIA, indicating that the application, after validation, may be used in the practice of these professionals.
