Funding and editorial independence
Publisher
The Journal of Health Informatics is published by the Brazilian Health Informatics Society (SBIS), which funds the editorial platform, DOI registration and technical services. The work of the Editorial Team and of reviewers is voluntary.
No charges to authors or readers
The journal charges no submission, review or publication fees, and no subscription or payment for reading.
Advertising
The journal does not publish advertising. Sponsorship of SBIS events, such as the Brazilian Congress of Health Informatics (CBIS), has no bearing on the review or publication of manuscripts.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions rest with the Editorial Team, based on scientific and ethical criteria, without interference from the publisher, sponsors or commercial interests. Papers accepted at SBIS events follow the journal's rules and may be declined for publication.
Manuscripts by members of the editorial team follow the rules of the Peer review policy.
