Utilization of the SUS by beneficiaries of private health insurance companies in Brazil

Introduction: This study undertakes a comprehensive analysis of the utilization of the Unified Health System (SUS) by beneficiaries of private health insurance companies, within the context of Supplementary Health in Brazil. Objective: The research, of a descriptive nature, covers the period from 2018 to 2022, investigating national data sourced from the Brazilian Government's Open Data Portal. Method: With a focus on identifying potential deficiencies in the supplementary health network, the research employs indicators and variables that encompass sociodemographic, geographic, and usage pattern aspects. Results: Contributions to a deeper understanding of the interaction between private operators and SUS. Conclusion: There is a need to promote research and analyses that provide insights for improvements in regulation, governance, and the quality of care in supplementary health based on data analysis.
